Shaw Baton Relay

Hi everyone,

A sunny and calm day greeted the runners at Battle Hill. We had two full teams, thanks to Carline joining the boys to run the opening lap for the Bs.

Our M60 A team finished a creditable second behind Scottish, and ahead of Trentham and Olympic. Congratulations to Dave Creamer, Kelvin Wong, Peter Frawley, and Tim Murchland. Kelvin and Peter had their first race as 60 year olds. Our Bs were 6th out of 8 teams. Congratulations to Dave for running the second fastest M60 lap, one minute adrift of Scottish’s Peter Stevens.

WHAC didn’t win any teams races. We finished second with SM, WU20, W35, U14 Mixed, and M60 teams. Third were the SW, BU14, BU16, MU20, and M50 teams.

Despite disappointingly failing to turn the pondwater into wine, Colin still managed to walk on it.
