Clendon leads Harriers at Rotorua Marathon (Weekly Round Up)

Rotorua Marathon

Daniel Clendon led home a slew of Wellington Harriers at the 50th Rotorua Marathon held on the 3rd May. The former World Mountain running representative finished a credible 5th place in a time of 2:35.43 and 4th place New Zealander in the NZ Marathon Championships matching his 4th place at last years National Championships held in Wellington. Next home was WHAC’s Paul Hewitson finished a credible 3rd place in the 50-54 age grade in a time of 2:57.12. Gabrielle O’Rourke also dipped under the 3 hour mark finishing in a time of 2:57.43 to win the 45-49 age grade.

IAAF World Race Walking Cup- (Taicang, China)

Quentin Rew finished a creditable 13th in the 50km race walk at the world racing walking cup in a time of 3:50.22. Rew recorded a personal best trimming five seconds of his time in finishing 17th at the World Championships in Moscow last year.

Tim Cornish finished 8th in the Men’s 1500m in a Personal Best of 3:51.94 (8r4)
